We opened 5,000 packs of every Pokémon set still sold in stores, using each set’s pull rates and today’s market prices. Right now 151 pulls the most on average, about $10.59 a pack, with the best chance of a $20+ card too (9% of packs).
Prices as of November 6, 2026. Opening packs on Holobrook is free.

Average pull is what a pack is worth on average, counting the rare big hits. Most packs pull far less: cards under $1 are counted as bulk at 5¢, since they rarely sell for more, so a pack with no hit is worth about 45¢. That’s why the chance of a $20+ card matters more than the average. In none of these 25 sets do most packs pull more than the $4.50 store price. Open packs for the fun of the hunt and the Pokémon you love.

By average pull, 151: about $10.59 of cards per pack in our simulation of 5,000 packs. For the best chance of a $20+ card, 151 (9% of packs).
Rarely as an investment. Most packs pull under their $4.50 store price, because a pack without a hit is mostly bulk, and the average is carried by rare hits. Most people open packs for the reveal, the art and the Pokémon they love. If you want one specific card, buying that card is cheaper.
151 gives the best chance of pulling a card worth $20 or more right now. Each set’s pull rates page lists the odds for every rarity.
Each set’s packs are opened 5,000 times with community-estimated pull rates (the same ones Holobrook’s free pack simulator uses) and valued at current market prices. Prices update weekly, so the ranking can change.
